Gotta admit, the knife makes sense; it’s really the only way to deal with something like Cary. You can’t take her on with close combat, mind fuckery would just piss her off, and hitting her with overwhelming force would be like drowning a fire in gasoline. The best way to kill a force like her is to kill her in a way she doesn’t expect and can’t fight against.

Hmm is that knife a localized essence extractor? Because it reminds me of what happened to the male demon who got pushed into the cursed zone’s radius. That or Uhl is correct and it’s some type of age accelerator, but with the cracking of her speech bubble it feels more like lack of essences is causing her to fall apart.
Though that could also show her voice breaking.
