That’s not a bad test. I’d probably struggle to pass a test like that, but I think Sarin can do so with flying colors.
Honestly, if asked for a surprise, if I were Sarin, I’d probably just punch Mori. Because a hug or a kiss would both be expected. Sarin, loving Mori, would normally never do such a thing, and has no provocation to do so. So there’d be no bigger surprise!
Brilliant. That’s pretty much something an impostor couldn’t pull of right without more or less copying down to subconscious level. Which can (and probably will usually) lead pretty much down the Gold-Digger Madrid route. So, nothing a demon only preying on people would want to do.

Agreed – the story I’m imagining would center around the incubus’s experience living as a gay woman instead of as a straight man.
Now THAT sounds like a lot of fun … keep it fairly serious and psychological, but not to the total exclusion of levity. Maybe have the Incubus be closer to the Emotion Eater end of the spectrum, and not the “I will consume you/eat your soul/etc.” end.
That could work. I was previously thinking of the idea of incubi as seducers when I was trying to imagine why the incubus was going after this particular woman – e.g. that she was a political figure who needed to be suborned – but it might be more interesting if the incubus wanted her for her – that (s)he just found this woman desirable in some sense.
(Interestingly, looking at the Wikipedia page, it seems like the incubus myth might be related to people trying to make sense of sleep paralysis. Don’t know how I would work that into the flavor of things.)

If one of them is the real Sarin, and if the demon is an incubus, there seems to be an obvious solution… of course, I still say they’re both demons.
…you know, I can’t believe I didn’t realize this when I saw the last strip, but… we saw flashbacks* to a white Mori, didn’t we? She’s now always** been white. The real Sarin wouldn’t have said anything.

What if they are both fake?
One thing that makes me think that is that if they’re not, it’s too obvious. The first one really acts nothing like Sarin, but someone trying too hard to be funny in a situation she would be (or is) taking more seriously. If Mori doesn’t at least strongly suspect which is which at this point, she’s a moron – and she’s not a moron, and neither is the demon.
I think the one is more likely to be Sarin than the other, but it’s not proven yet. After all, Sarin does occasionally try to be funny in a situation she should take seriously, and an incubus might well know a lot more about incubi than Sarin does.
