I really like the line “Just turning to women isn’t enough.” It’s not enough for Cary’s crazy plan, and it’s not enough for most transformation stories either. That is the vanilla of transformation stories. You gotta have something beyond that…and I hope I do.

Huh. So if “Ms. S” could monitor and punish people who had disloyal thoughts, then how did Cary come up with this plan?
Also, I’m amused by how (assuming demons are an Always Evil race in this setting) Cary’s motives objectively fall under the heading of “fighting evil.” Fighting evil for the top spot, sure, but fighting evil nonetheless.
