Well, since they’re going to be going up against Cary, the crime lord with the power of REBELLION, they might need a few illegal forms to get at her.
‘Illegal’ is an interesting word, as it doesn’t explain -why- something is illegal.
There’s also the question of “illegal when” – are they Third-Breaking illegal or Fourth-Breaking illegal?
Third at the least, I was going to have Sheng crack a joke about how that particular government no longer exists. Also invisibility and wall crawling may seem innocuous but they’re perfect for a thief or a spy, two jobs that should be obsolete in a post needs society.
I mean, privacy is still a thing. People might want to discourage bodies that make that easy.

Right. And privacy, yeah. Actually pretty much every use of invisibility is probably illegal other than as camouflage for a soldier.
Speed, have you considered picking a fan with the adequate skill and tech to color the backlog pages for you? I mean someone who knows what they’re doing and can use the colors of your previous pages or direct notes from you to color everything in? Then you can focus on just producing the blank comics and not have to dedicate time to coloring if you’re wanting to push forward with the story and avoid burnout.
I’m not well-known enough to have droves of people willing to work for free for me and the two friends I do have who make comics enough to make fanart have full-time comics of their own! You ask more than you know, sir.
