Cool. i expect her to fall in sleep.. or at least her wolfside will fall in sleep. I like how she uses her powers to calm her Down instead just fighting. awesome.
So, since no one else mentioned it so far: I don’t know (and honestly don’t think at this point) that this will remove the control the incubus has of her. But it will calm down the werewolf part (good thing she already healed the wounds Elka inflicted), thus making her a standard sized human, unarmed and not trained in combat with her only special asset not really applicable in the middle of a woodless street.
So even if it does not disturb or remove influence from the demon, she’d be someone easy to subdue safely at that point.
Interesting question. Though I would think that the dryad’s own magic, which is unremovable part of her being, would interfere here. It might be possible to attack a dryad that way, but it most certainly would not be easy. Pretty much becoming a contest of strength.
Flower Power apparently also works against giant werewolves. Who’d have thought 🙂
Not me.
Ah so like Zelda’s lullaby in Majora’s mask…
“I’m melting! MELTING! YAAARRRGGHHHH!!!!”
Hurrah for dryads!
Dryads and the power of song. How could I forget, it pops up every now and then in fantasy. And I’m quite a bit of a fantasy nerd.
A nature spell to calm a wild beast… Why didn’t I think of that?
I did not see that coming, though it makes a lot of sense now that I think of it.
I get that comment a LOT.
Mark of a good story – beforehand, you can’t figure out what might happen next, but in hindsight, you can’t think how else it might have happened. ;-]
Agreed … I can think of a bunch of examples of that sort of thing in the Dragon Doctors.
I am now curious as to what happens next!
Not what I was expecting, but I like it. Just hope it works.
can you overdose on serenity? if so what happens? tell us oh recursive autocasting!
Watch the movie “Serenity” for the answer to that. Hint: It’s not pretty.
…. ouch.
so fully conscious coma
Nice.
No giant monster fight 🙁

What could a woodwarper do to a Dryad, though? I can see some possibilities that aren’t pretty at all.
are dryads flesh or foliage?
