Just blame it on Drunk Duck – they have been down due to a “security” issue for a day or 2 now.
It was a potential issue, that they found and fixed before it could lead to serious damage, the reason why the images won’t load there is because they have not been updated so that the fix will allow them to load, individually that’s just a couple edits to the code, however with billions of images, doing that all at once can be dangerous for the hardware to say the least, basically on their end it is very likely a loading screen and they also have to check to make sure no files are corrupted in the process, they could very easily be dealing with petabytes of files total (that’s 10^15) that need a small change and then be checked for corruption… And even though that takes time, it is far less time than having to fix the damage that the issue would have caused (say actual site damage for example) and still having to make this very same fix anyways
Glad I jumped ship when I did. I may have lost a lot of viewers, but I got rid of a lot of headaches.
The Duck has had a lot of issues. Still does. But -is- a pretty good spot for those getting started.
It actually has been very stable since last year’s crash, aside from routine site maintenance inconvenience it has stayed up, the images where only down a day and a half to two days much better than the potential month of fixes that would have happened if they didn’t catch it early, It may have been down completely only once or twice since the big crash last year

Okay, she’s broken the first barrier: she’s prevented the thing from destroying her. Now she needs to stop it from running around with her old body.
