Time moves forward in the comic, not at a real-time rate but thereabouts, and I didn’t have a good way to exposit it other than “two years!” Long time to spend rooted to one spot. It’d drive me crazy too.

As exposition goes, this is pretty darn good. It feels natural as part of the conversation, and it’s fairly clear about the fact you’re sharing- it’s been at least two years (but less than three) since Tanica was transformed.
