UGGH sorry but they’ve sprung three surprise work-days on me, INCLUDING SATURDAY FOR ELEVEN HOURS!! I promised you extra comics but it turned out to be an empty promise. FFFT. need to colorize this soon, you can’t tell the two Moris apart well. SOON!
Anyway: What the demon is saying might be complete B.S. Or not. Feel free to disagree with this insane theory. Do you think it’s possible or plausible? Is it saying what’s been true all along, or is it just warping reality to what it SAYS is true?
She’s not listing who would be the leader in Mori’s place. Or who would be the diagnosis specialist, who would have helped Sarin attune the phoenix egg to Elka, or who could have used their feminine essence to destroy the harvest stone. The others were quickly drained of the masculine essence so without a proficent female member the stone would still be there. And if the stone “was destroyed” then there would be no reason for Cary to make another one or possibly get the dragon doctors involved in heir affairs. And if the doctors weren’t involved with Cary the demons wouldn’t be targeting the doctors. Meaning this attack wouldn’t be happening right now
Of course that’s negated by the fact that Mori can even refute things and use the term I. Mori is real and exists because he has a sense of self, hence the attempt to murder him. Reality is all about perception, the demon is just trying to get Mori to agree it its version.
I just realized that Goro isn’t dead XD but the people in that house may have left
And my fears have been dispelled, that was very clever and interesting. I knew you wouldn’t let me down Speedball.
So in other words I just thwarted the dramatic tension? DAMN!
I don’t know about dramatic tension, but Mori is the last of the Dragon Doctors to come under attack; the fact that she is the first we see fighting back is quite appropriate, and suggests that we will get a chance to see what’s going on with the others as well, soon.
Besides, we still don’t know how this is going to play out.
Huh… “gender-neutral personality” or no, you’d think someone who “hasn’t decided who or what she prefers” wouldn’t go with a shapeshifter that can’t be turned male in a setting where turning women into men is under normal circumstances easier than getting out of bed.
Well Dragon doctors are real somewhere in the multiverse. So i think she will be ok. because she IS a real being with real feelings.
If Mori had been inserted into the story before, what is stopping her from reinserting herself now? If you have the power, use it.
Yes, Kili may have detected the assassins, but Mori’s invention is what caused their cloak-suits to fail. (Giving the Dragon Doctors an even battleground.)
Sarin may be a magical badass, true, but Mori’s constantly INVENTING new spells and toys for her to play with. In fact, the “equipment failure” spell that played an integral part in Patricia’s and Goro’s stories was directly invented by Mori.
Then, of course, there’s all of Koton’s wonderful points.
For that matter, they would not have even tried to cure Greg were it not for Mori’s ability to come up with a plan of action.
Next comic is going to be late too, but as the demon will say in the next comic, the refuation for that is basically that the others would have come up with that solution eventually even without Mori. (The other docs are succumbing to “Dumb Watson Syndrome” essentially). Not sayin’ the demon is or is not full of crap, that’s just her position.
And the “eventually” part is the rub. “Eventually” could come too late.
“Am I boring?”
That last line is a great counterattack. Sure, the situation is still intensely scary, but by puncturing the assassin’s argument in two simple sentences, Mori has destroyed their ability to build the kind of fear they’ve been working on. An excellent move by the character who’s being stripped of everything but “being the smart one.”
