OK, so Jeremy’s presence here isn’t dependent on the crax in Greg. But what about the other way around? Jeremy calls himself “I”, not “we”, implying that all the various crax are animated by the same consciousness- the one that’s beating on Kili’s sphere right now.
So if they do turn the tables, that might not just kill this crax and cure Greg- it might kill all the crax, and cure the Diving City victims and any other craxellions out there.
Also, I don’t think Jeremy has completely thought this through. If you take over people’s bodies with the intention of becoming immortal, the fact that a target “longs for death” is not an asset…
