Thank EVERYONE who responded to my distress in the last page. I was feeling like a walking corpse the day after I got the rejection letter. It’s weird, I planned on just moving on with my life when I got the rejection letter, yet somehow it destroyed my will to do anything. Human brains are programmed to process rejection like physical pain, I’ve read, and I think I must have been hit HARD. Thanks especially to the several of you who decided to cheer me up, not with words, but with more donations through Patreon! Now that REALLY lit a fire under me to get this done!
This is super tense. Good thinking, Sarin – here’s hoping there won’t be too many obstacles in the way.
Ok. Now that incubus is creepy as hell. It’s shouting “women” the way zombies shout “brains.”
Good job, Speedy. Demon well done.
Not to forget: Tentacles.
Hmm. sounds like it is envious of them somehow.
…huh! I hadn’t thought of that, but I can see it – it’s aggrieved that they didn’t roll over and submit.
It’s a creature made of pure rape, of course it’s mad when it gets cockblocked.
Um. Didn’t think of that, either. That’s a lot darker than the mental image I had of it, but you’re certainly not wrong.
Also, I am reminded of a blog post I read recently.
I’m beginning to think Cary may not have thought her cunning plan all the way through.
Do you think Cary is responsible for the assasinationattempts? Because the assasinations clearly are the work of team Succubus & Incubus, the very demons Cary (credibly, imho) claims to fight.
If you think this, I’d like to know what led you to this assumption. Otherwise, I’d like to know, what you mean (since I obviously didn’t understand your comment).
Corvus might be referring to the fact that this incubus might already have influence over her that she’s unaware of. (Not necessarily Cary herself; it can be someone close to Cary.)
I think it’s more that Cary roused them with her actions. And they struck at the Doctors first, because they saw them as a threat they could actually reach right now.
Those theories both actually make sense. Thank you. (And I feel kinda dumb now, but that’s okay. I need that from time to time.)
