I could probly give my theory, but I might ruin things and accidently stab in the right direction if I guess right.
I wonder how the succubus kept a hold over Cary back when she was he, if mind control didn’t work. Something heavy enough for Cary to risk such a plan.
That said, I wonder how many members of the former gang went in with eyes open… sure, you get your mind controled… but first you get to have sex with a succubus.
My guess? Cary had a plan like this from the start when they got involved with the gang. Ie the only ‘hold’ the sucubus had was the fact that Cary was going along with what she wanted for as long as it suited Cary only.
Plus her future can’t be predicted, and she can’t be a demon or she would’ve died from the headstone.
