I don’t really like that beard on Male!Cary…I was half-tempted to edit it out of this version. Also: Sorry for delay, I had to do a bunch of stuff. Thanksgiving Week and the prior clean-up for guests kicked my ass.
On Catoblepas: It’s a Persian demon, a horrible monster whose name, in Greek, means “down-looker” because it looks downwards. It looks like a wildebeest or buffalo with breath that turns you to stone. My version of it is a minotaur-like demon that “looks down” because it’s really tall.
I like the design for Captain Coral. You can see the family resemblance to Jack; big nose, kind of thick face and body, but she’s more built for military life. I feel really bad for this happening to her in the backstory.
Oh! I didn’t connect the name “Coral” with Jack – no wonder he knew about Cary’s stolen harvest stone!

Doesn’t really seem important enough to warrant inclusion in akashic records… was it recovered from some overprepared, slightly crazy survivalist’s stronghold? *cough* Note to self: 4000 years is a good number to aim for structural integrity through when estimating seismic activity…
